The Tax Relief Office has Value Added Tax (VAT) forms that can be used by ID cardholders save money on purchases. Stop by the Tax Relief Office for your VAT forms!

Save 19% off most purchases! ID cardholders can save 19% off most German purchases on the economy (German tax = Mehrwertsteur). For transactions under 2,500 Euros, the fee is $4 per form.

For transactions 2,500 Euros or more, the fee is $6 per transaction and requires a bank check from the Tax Relief Office. For purchases over 2,500 Euros you will need to provide a cost estimate, or offer from the vendor and pay the Tax Office either in cash or certified check issued from a bank, made out to CMWRF.

Registration for Utility Tax Avoidance Program (UTAP) is a tax savings that is open to all military and authorized members of the U.S. Forces who occupy economy housing. Customers are required to provide the Tax Office the first bill received, a copy of rental agreement or proof of ownership, DEROS date and must pay a $77 service fee.
